What recare includes
Recare is not a new-patient workup. It is the visit that keeps a smile from quietly sliding between school, work, and sports seasons.

The Oral Health Scan, in plain English
The scan is a 3D model of the teeth and bite, taken with the iTero scanner at Carmel, Fishers, and North Indianapolis. No putty tray. Most kids treat it like a short video of their own teeth.
We use it to compare this year with last year when a prior scan is on file — crowding, spacing, bite shift, wear, and chips that are easy to miss on a quick look. It does not replace X-rays when X-rays are due.
If it has been more than a year since the last scan — or there has never been one — mention that when you confirm. We will plan the scan into this visit.

What is a recare visit at Indy Smile Group?
Recare is your regular preventive visit if you are already a patient at Smile Dentistry in Fishers, Simply Smile in Carmel, or Simply Smile in North Indy. It is a cleaning and an exam with the team that already knows you. No new-patient paperwork.
Is the Oral Health Scan extra?
No. For patients we already see, a complimentary Oral Health Scan is included when one is due. It is part of the visit, not a coupon and not a separate product.
How often should I come in?
Most patients are seen about every six months. Every patient still gets at least one iTero Oral Health Scan a year. On a typical cadence, bitewing X-rays are taken at one recare and the scan is taken at the next visit if X-rays are not due.
I am not a patient yet. Can I use this page?
