Invisalign Between Meetings

Most adults do not delay Invisalign because they doubt it works. They delay it because work already owns the calendar.

Meetings stack. Lunch is a client. The first open Saturday is already spoken for. Clear aligners only help if the start fits a real week — and if the trays can live in that week without becoming a second job.

What the workday actually looks like

You wear the trays to the office. You take them out to eat. You brush, put them back in, and go to the next call.

That is the logistics. The rest is honesty:

• The first two or three days, some people notice a slight lisp on a video call. It fades. If you have a hard presentation, do not start a new tray that morning.

• Attachments are small tooth-colored dots. Across a conference table they do not read as braces. Up close, a spouse will see them. That is fine.

• Coffee stays. Trays come out for the drink, then go back in. Aligners straighten. They do not bleach. If you want a brighter shade later, that is a separate plan.

• Wear time is the treatment. Trays on the passenger seat during a long commute do not move teeth.

You do not need a metal smile in the Monday standup. You do need the trays in for the hours you already agreed to.

Hygiene does not pause. Recare stays on the normal cadence at the office that already has your chart. Aligners come out for the cleaning. Details live on recare.

The first visit is a scan, not a half day off

The clinical scan is iTero, in office, at all three locations. That visit is records and a model you can see, not a contract in the hallway. You leave knowing whether a plan for your teeth is even on the table.

Bring current retainers if you have them. Bring the questions you would otherwise text later. If you already have a recare visit on the book, say so when you schedule. An Oral Health Scan and Invisalign records can often share a visit when the timing is right.

Pick the office that fits the commute, not a brand name on a billboard.

• Smile Dentistry in Fishers, near Hamilton Town Center — handy if work or school pickup already sends you up 116th.

• Simply Smile in Carmel, along Meridian.

• Simply Smile in North Indy, also on Meridian, closer to Broad Ripple and the northside office corridor.

Same scanner. Same public fee. Existing-patient recare stays at the office that already has the chart. A new Invisalign consult can be at any of the three. Book from the Invisalign page and choose the office.

What it costs

Invisalign treatment for kids or adults is $4,979 at Smile Dentistry in Fishers, Simply Smile in Carmel, and Simply Smile in North Indy. The only add-on is the IPE appliance at $749 when a growing child needs it. Periodic specials stay at that same $4,979 and may include retainers or take-home whitening in the fee. There is not a second Invisalign price. A consult is required to determine candidacy. Individual results vary.

Most adult cases finish in under a year. Your timing comes from the scan in front of us, not a website average.

New to the practice? The New Patient Special is $99 for the exam and necessary X-rays. Cleaning is not included. New patients only. Not valid with insurance. That offer is not an Invisalign discount. It lives on new patients.

Professional whitening, if you want it after the last tray, is $399 in-office or $249 take-home. Details live on whitening.
