Invisalign® Post-Op & Daily Care
Friendly reminders for the first days and ongoing treatment.
For complete wear-time rules, cleaning instructions, what to expect, tips, FAQs, and the free Tray Reminder Tool (weekly encouragement + change alerts), visit our full guide:
First 48 Hours
- Expect some pressure or mild soreness — this is normal as teeth begin moving.
- Wear your new trays 22 hours per day (remove only to eat, drink, and clean).
- Use chewies for 5–10 minutes after inserting a new tray for the best seating.
- Take any prescribed or recommended pain relief as needed.
Ongoing Daily Care
- Brush and floss before reinserting trays after every meal.
- Rinse and gently brush trays with cool water + clear soap or Invisalign crystals daily.
- Never eat or drink anything except water with trays in (to prevent staining and decay).
- Always store trays in the provided case — never in a napkin or pocket.
